BIOGRAFIA
HEBERT SANCHEZ in his explorations to the Colombian Andes .
In 1965 he was born in the capital of Colombia, Bogota, and soon began to live in Tunja with his family, a more provincial city then , surrounded by a particular landscape of cold weather, which would later be reflected in his first exhibition.
At the age of 11 he discovered his talent in a drawing of a horse that he made on a sandwich box cover, since then he knew that he would dedicate himself to art, although he lived in an environment lacking possibilities to develop his artistic inclination and that cost him much difficulty to paint and know the artistic environment; study until secondary between Tunja and Bogotá, and in the capital could begin to explore the history of art in the library of the Bank of the Republic .
In 1998 he met the Puerto Rican artist Domingo Izquierdo who was his contact with the art world, in addition to his friendship has bequeathed him an important artistic influence ; from that time his work developed from the figurative to the abstract and from the traditional to the contemporary, the content of his work has had a spiritual character that explores the relationship of man with creation, dealing with different themes with its particular approach of eternity and temporality that is reflected in themes such as the cosmos that it addresses for more than ten years.
Currently exploring contemporary languages always with a personal characteristic due to his empirical training, his work has been evolving since his travels to New York , which have driven him to rescue disciplines such as drawing , photography, which in its youth development, acquiring a current view of the new processes
He currently lives and works in the Sabana de Bogotá.
